From the very start, the Corvette has always challenged conventions…and the 1956 Corvette was no exception. Recreated here with a genuine fiberglass body, this landmark Vette also overhauled what went under the hood. The standard 265 cid V-8 engine surged from an 8:1 to 9:25 compression rate and with its four-barrel carburetor, produced a prodigious 210 hp.
