It was the largest air armada in the history of warfare and the heroic actions of the airmen of the Eighth preserved freedom throughout the world. The 3-piece set includes the B-17F 'Miss Minookie' which flew from 1942 to 1944 when it was shot down over Luechtrteigen, Germany. Alongside it, there is the P47Thunderbolt 'Rozzie Geth/Miss Fire' which flew with 62nd FS/56th FG in July 1944 and the P-51D Mustang of 357th FS/361st FG based at several airfields around the UK. Each one celebrates the legendary group of men and machines that made up the Eighth Army Air Force.
